Summary: You all know the old story of Hansel and Gretel, right? We're fairly certain it's why you don't just enter random strangers' houses. For all you know, they could be evil cannibals, or in this case, witches...who are also cannibals. Where were we going with this again?
History: A while ago, a family came to an enchantress so that their baby wouldn't die of illness. Unfortunately, while it worked, the baby grew up to be a sociopathic murderer abandoned and left in the woods...except, that's not quite what happened. Yes, the girl, known as the Beautiful Child, did give in to the kingdom of darkness, but the real menace in the forest is her mother Holda, who agreed to inherit her daughter's dark powers. Now, she's a witch who lures in children, like her own, with her house full of delicious food...made from the children she kills, butchers, and magically shifts the organs of into more appealing cuisine. Now, a wayward pair of siblings have arrived, though Holda may actually want the sister, Gretel, to be her successor...

Final Fate: After trying to cook Hansel over a pit of fire while encouraging Gretel to surrender, Holda finds herself magically pinned to the wall by the girl via fire poker. The magically empowered flames engulf the evil witch, and she dies screaming and being reduced to bones and ash. However, Gretel shows signs of becoming a witch herself, albeit a more benevolent one.
Powers/Abilities: Holda can cast illusions, share memories, turn bloody remains into typical food, among other spells.
Weakness: Anything conventional, though fire seems to be the most effective.
Scariness Factor: 4-Holda is a very different kind of child predator. Her diverse array of magical abilities and her blackened fingers are only the surface of a completely insane crone. Not helping is the odd croaking voice provided to her by Alice Krige. If you're a kid, visit witches at your own risk.
Trivia: -The original myth concerning Hansel and Gretel has the witch's house usually made of sweets and gingerbread, making it seem more innocent than it is.
-Folklorists have speculated that the story was meant to be a metaphor for things like how it was common back in that time for European families to abandon their children during famines, as well as how valuable it is to remain with your family lest you run headfirst into danger.
